When I was at a market place three years ago, I saw a lady walking up to people like she was trying to sell them something. People were not interested and walked away from her. Then she approached me and introduced herself. It turned out she was trying to share the gospel with anyone who would listen. I listened on but she didn’t know that I was a Christian at first. She later was curious why I didn’t walk away like everyone else. Then I told her that I am also a Christian. We had a long interesting conversation about Jesus. In the end we exchanged our farewells with a smile and saying that the next time we see each other will be in heaven. I didn’t know anything else about her but I felt like I have always known her. It didn’t matter which church or denomination she was from (1 Corinthians 1:10-13). What was important to the both of us was that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Jesus answered, "Who is my mother and who are my brothers?" Then He pointed to His disciples and said, "These are my mother and my brothers! Anyone who obeys my Father in heaven is my brother or sister or mother."(Matthew 12:48-50/CEV) Always be humble and gentle. Patiently put up with each other and love each other. Try your best to let God's Spirit keep your hearts united. Do this by living at peace. All of you are part of the same body. There is only one Spirit of God, just as you were given one hope when you were chosen to be God's people. We have only one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. There is one God who is the Father of all people. Not only is God above all others, but He works by using all of us, and He lives in all of us. (Ephesians 4:2-6/CEV). The day is coming when Christians will all be caught up in the clouds together when I will see this lady again. Life on earth will continue as normal as possible for those who are left behind.

That was a nice gesture to talk to her..really encouraging people sometimes means the world to them. I too feel the same way about denominations..i am just happy to be with christians regardless of denominations..God bless you..and keep writing for Him!

Great picture and posting... Just a quick question... about how long does it take you to complete a picture? The way they look you must put alot of care into them ...I would guess it takes quite some time... May the Lord continue to bless you.
ReplyDeleteThanks brother Rob. What is important is that I am only a vessel for God's work. It is all for His glory. Without Him I can do nothing.
ReplyDeleteGod bless

hey, Paul..nice one to share here..I agree to every comment everyone has put in here., especially when for a long time even I kept wondering the time and effort you might be spending on these paintings..They would be priceless when put for auction , i guess..both for me and I am sure for God.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, my experiences have been always bad.I have such bad experiences that my most friends are non-believers than believers, I find it easier to witness to them than to christians..How I crave for a single good friend in Christ..! in fact you know what?? This morning I had even made up my mind to not to expect any good from Christians. I know i was judgmental but again just today I received a message about loving believers and here again for today i have stumbled upon this article of yours just to get hope that no , there is still hope.. few sweet people of God still exist...Stumbling upon your blog today cant be a coincidence...
Maria:
ReplyDeleteThere is no coincidence that you stumbled on to this post. Perhaps it is the act of God.
God speaks to people throughout time: through other people, scriptures, the events of your life, and even in your dreams if He chooses.
I am glad that this post have help answered some of your questions. With God nothing is impossible.
I enjoy reading your blog and it says to me that although we may be half a world apart, we have much in common: same struggles, expectations, likes and dislikes…etc as Christians.
God bless,
Paul
Hi Paul, how true this is! I feel the same way, that I've know these Christian people forever, some in which I don't even know what they look like. and like you say, we will finally meet again or face to face for the first time in the clouds! How awesome is that.
ReplyDeleteMaria, I can relate with what you sometimes feel about Christians. I've been there, not so long ago. But I'm slowly learning to not focus on them and to keep my eyes on Jesus! I have to remember that no one is perfect! Not even me! It may take a few days or a few weeks, but it does fade away! Can't wait to meet you in the clouds!
