There was a discovery made in 1999 in Siberia where under the icy, barren land a well preserved woolly mammoth was uncovered. But what was so puzzling is that it still has food in the mouth and with undigested food in the stomach. Evidently there was no time for this huge carcass to decompose. These enormous creatures needed to consume large amount of food every day much like our modern day elephants. It is not possible that these woolly mammoths ever roamed in icy, frozen environment where no vegetation could grow. The vegetation found in the mouth can only be grown in warm regions. So what theories would best support the sudden climate change?
You must have heard recently in the news that the magnetic north is shifting in a big way (40 miles per year towards Russia). Tampa International airport just recently had to adjust the taxiway signs relative to the magnetic north. This is nothing unusual because we have seen the sun’s magnetic north and south poles flip every 11 years cycle. The only concern for us is that as the earth magnetic north continues to shift our GPS will no longer be accurate just as assuredly our basic compass needle will no longer be pointing to the true north. But according to doomsday alarmists this isn’t all that is going change. They believe that as the earth’s geomagnetic field continues to weaken, not only can it expose earth to space radiation such as solar storms, but that there might even be more frequent greater magnitude earthquakes and eventually an earth crust displacement (pole shift) could occur. The affect of a pole shift will be sudden and exceedingly violent and there is no safe place anywhere on earth. Perhaps Siberia might have been once near the equator before there was a sudden, catastrophic pole shift. To many, this theory seems to better support how the Woolly mammoths that while eating in a warm climate could suddenly be flash-frozen in their place. Are we almost due for another major earth changing event as some believe? I am not an advocate of 2012 doomsday prediction because truly, no one knows the day or the hour (Matthew 24:36). But the Bible does have some interesting prophecies pointing to a cataclysmic event that is coming and that it will be on a planetary scale never before experienced in human history.
And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings;
and there was a great earthquake,
such a mighty and great earthquake
as had not occurred since men were on the earth.
(Revelation 16:18).
Notice that this “great earthquake” is mentioned twice which means that it will be very significant and catastrophic. This great earthquake as some believe it to be a crustal displacement will certainly devastate the entire world; it is said that the earth will be violently shaken and split open (Isaiah 24:19-20) as islands and mountains are removed or moved out of their place (Revelation 16:20). It sounds as if the earth will be going through a facelift. The seismic activity will be exceedingly great that it can potentially generate huge tidal waves never before seen as can also greatly affect the atmosphere above: thunders, lightings, great hailstones (Revelation 24:21), the appearance of stars falling as if shaken by a mighty wind and the sky roll up like a scroll (Revelation 6:13-14). And as the cities of all nations are reduced to rubbles (Revelation 16:19), every walk of life will not be able to hide from the day of God’s wrath (Revelation 6:15-17, 16:21).
So when will this take place? For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3). But God has assured us that we should have nothing to fear because God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah (Psalm 46:1-2)
In those days, God will fulfill the promise of His second coming to take us with Him.
But in those days, after that tribulation,
the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars of heaven will fall,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
And then
He will send His angels, and gather together His elect
from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.
(Mark 13:24-27)
Hello Paul, Thank you for touching down on my page and reminding me to visit yours, we as Christains all understand we are in the PANGS of end times.
ReplyDeleteI love your paintings, they are great! Very spiritual, and God reaches into our spirit to reveal His truths.
Yes these great earthquakes cartainly are just that..just as predicted.
"Mountains carried into the midst of the sea." How astonishing is that..
We can read this and yet still are unable to fathom the greatness of God. He is so mighty!
God Bless. CML
Hi Paul :-)
ReplyDeleteSo what do I think of your latest post?
After living in California all my life I have experienced many major earthquakes and let me tell you...they are terrifying! I don't know how anyone could go through a quake or any major disaster without God. Psalm 46:1-2 is a great promise and comfort to me.

the Lord's second coming was and is always a mystery to me, I really dont understand when would Christ take us with HIM-in HIS secret coming or the one is called the Grand second coming for the world to see.
ReplyDeleteBut definitely one thing is sure, we are extremely near to HIS coming, its not next month, next year or a year after the next...HE can come today, tomorrow or even now.
All can be said is to be prepared and be extremely holy, just as HE is holy.
Paul,
ReplyDeleteAnother great picture. It brings to mind Rom 8:19-22:
19) For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope, 21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
It is so amazing... sin so devastated our planet that it is slowly falling apart before our eyes. The only thing keeping it together is the mighty hand of our Lord. He's keeping it until the time is right and then, I believe, He will take off his hands and allow it to implode.
As you say, we can't know when, but it sure seems like it will be very soon.
May the Lord continue to bless you, Bro Paul.
Rob

Nowadays, people in the world are speaking pole shift, solar storms, changes of the earth's magnetic field, increasing of earthquakes and volcanic activities. The mankind has been awoken to observe and understand that something is happening on the earth, the sun and the space. The Bible (the Word of God) tells the things and phenomenons of the end time that shake the world, which are large and disastrous earthquakes, solar storms and earth's pole shift.

When I was at my doctor's for the usual regular checkup, we came to talking bout the Japanese disaster and how it's affecting the world. Out of curiosity I asked him this --- 'Does that worry you?' - He smiled and said... 'We have a God.' I guess that answers it all.
ReplyDeleteOn my desktop is this --- "Don't be totally worried about everything that's going around you. It's my job." Signed, Jesus.
Blessings to you and your family, Paul.
Thank you Ellen. You are so right. Indeed we have nothing to worry when we have God with us. For when God is with us, who can be against us? Jesus said, "Will worrying make us live longer?" (Matt 6:27). The answer is no. I believe He meant for us to trust in Him and to put our faith in Him.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Paul

ReplyDeleteHello Paul, this is not my first visit to your blog spot.
ReplyDeleteIf the Lord wiped out the civilization that existed in Noah's time for their behaviour, which He did, why do we think He won't wipe us out for our behaviour? Are we better people than them?
Don't get me wrong, He wiped out a complete civilization, gone, all of it.
I too wonder how a Mammoth could possibly be frozen with undigested food in it's stomach, Surely digestion continues after death unless halted? For this process to be completely halted it would have to be frozen in less than 5 hours. It takes at least 6 days to freeze an elephant in a modern flash freezer. That means the temperature would have to drop to a staggering -200 deg c in seconds. Hmm, makes one think, doesn't it? God bless you my friend and don't worry, God is with you. Geoff.
Hi Geoff:
ReplyDeleteYou are very analytical and with your understanding of science behind freezing point of matter. I like that.
Some believe that at a moment during a possible pole shift, the Mammoths were exposed to temporary vaccuum of space. It is all theories but interesting.
I thank you for your interesting comment.
Blessings,
Paul
